This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved when you use the AgentLights application and the agentlights.com website (together, the "Service").

1. Information the app processes locally

AgentLights determines an agent's status by reading small state files written on your own computer by a local hook script (triggered by Cursor or Claude Code). This may include a workspace folder name, a conversation identifier, and a status such as "working" or "idle." This information:

• stays on your Mac;
• is not transmitted to us or any third party by the app; and
• is used only to render the light you see.

The app stores your preferences (such as layout, size, orientation, and light order) in the standard macOS preferences store on your device.

2. Information the website processes

When you visit agentlights.com or download the app, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, in order to deliver the site securely and reliably. This is typical server log information and is handled under Cloudflare's own policies.

3. Check for Updates

When you use "Check for Updates," the app makes a request to agentlights.com to retrieve a small version file and compare it with your installed version. This request necessarily includes your IP address (as any web request does) but does not include any information about your agents, code, or usage.

4. Payments

If you purchase the Service, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. The processor handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.

5. What we don't do

• We don't sell your personal information.
• We don't include third-party advertising or behavioral tracking in the app.
• We don't collect your prompts, code, or the contents of your conversations.

6. Data retention

Local state files are managed on your device and are pruned automatically over time by the app. You can remove all local data at any time by quitting and uninstalling AgentLights and deleting its preferences.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because the app is local-first and we don't maintain user accounts, in most cases we hold little or no personal information about you. 8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
